The commission process
inquiry
Send a photo of the wall and the dates you have in mind, then we'll talk it through on a short call.
booking
A 50% deposit and a signed agreement secure your dates. Design begins once the deposit is in.
design
We'll develop two or three concepts rendered onto a photo of your actual wall, with two rounds of revisions included. Nothing is painted until you approve a direction.
installation
We arrive with everything — paint, ladders, drop cloths. Most commissions take one to two days, scheduled midweek around your calendar. The room is guest-ready when I leave.
content
Statement Space and Full Property commissions include social-ready photos and a short reel of the finished space, delivered the same week and included in the price.

I'm Abby, a Minnesota native who has called Denver home for the past five years. My love of murals started long before Scout Hill existed — when I was six or seven, I got to help my mom paint a massive mural in the rural Minnesota town where I grew up, sitting in the dirt adding little flowers and blades of grass along the bottom of the wall.
Years later I found my way back to mural painting while traveling through Mexico in 2021, and Scout Hill grew into what it is today. Read more.

1 / Where do you travel? +
Anywhere. Travel and lodging are always included in the quote. If the unit is free on your dates we'd rather stay on site, but a hotel nearby works just as well.
2 / How long will you be in my space? +
One to two days for most walls, three to five for a full property. All the design is finished before we arrive, so every hour on site is painting.
3 / Will this interrupt my bookings? +
We paint midweek around whatever your calendar already has open, so you never have to block a weekend. The paint is low-VOC and fully cured before the next guest arrives.
4 / What's included in the price? +
Concepts, paint, materials, wall prep, ladders and equipment, and cleanup. Social-ready photos of the finished wall are included from Statement Space up — no surprise add-ons later.
5 / How does payment work? +
Half up front to hold your dates, half on the final morning. Card, ACH, or check. Property managers can be invoiced net 30.
6 / Can I see a design before I book? +
Design starts once the deposit is in. Before then we'll talk through direction and references on the call, and the work above shows the range of what I do.
